About the Opportunity

Our client, a leading food and beverage manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee plant maintenance operations and ensure equipment reliability across all production lines. This is a critical leadership role responsible for developing preventative maintenance programs, driving equipment uptime, and leading a team focused on continuous improvement and safety.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in manufacturing maintenance, proven leadership experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally with production, quality, and engineering teams to optimize plant performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the daily activities of the maintenance department, ensuring all machinery and equipment are maintained in optimal condition.
  • Oversee preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize production efficiency and equipment reliability.
  • Supervise, train, and develop maintenance technicians and staff while fostering a strong culture of safety and accountability.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, inventory, and spare parts procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, OSHA, and regulatory standards.
  • Partner with operations and engineering to identify process improvements, implement automation initiatives, and reduce downtime.
  • Utilize CMMS or maintenance tracking systems to schedule and document maintenance activities.
  • Support and participate in audits, safety reviews, and capital project planning.
  • Coordinate vendor and contractor relationships for specialized repair or installation work.
  • Promote continuous improvement practices throughout the department.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
  • 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience within a food, beverage, or high-speed manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, set priorities, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with CMMS systems and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and safety compliance.
