The Opportunity

A fast-growing agricultural supply company is seeking a Territory Sales Leader to own and expand a critical California territory. This is a leadership-oriented sales role for someone who wants to build, influence, and grow alongside a business that’s evolving from a traditional supply model into a modern, solutions-driven organization.

The company is on a strong growth trajectory—investing in people, infrastructure, eCommerce, and operational excellence—while remaining deeply customer-centric and culture-driven.

How You’ll Spend Your Time

  • ~50% of the week in the field visiting customers
  • 1–2 days per week in-office for meetings and collaboration
  • If based in Fresno, the role will start as work-from-home until the local branch opens
  • Occasional travel to Bakersfield (weekly or a few times per month, depending on location)
  • Mileage reimbursement provided; some assignments may include a monthly vehicle allowance

Role Overview

This is not a transactional hunter role. The Territory Sales Leader will operate as a business owner for the region, driving revenue growth while helping shape sales strategy, category leadership, and team development.

You’ll have the opportunity to grow a book of business, deepen customer relationships, and play a meaningful role in how the sales organization evolves.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and expand a territory-level book of business
  • Sell solutions to growers, contractors, and agricultural service providers
  • Build category leadership across products such as trailers, tools, irrigation, and water solutions
  • Identify and develop new geographic areas and customer segments
  • Establish long-term, trusted customer relationships
  • Support new storefront openings and market launches
  • Influence and help develop members of the sales team
  • Partner closely with sales leadership on KPIs and growth initiatives

Products & Solutions

The company offers a broad and growing portfolio, including:

  • Agricultural trailers (manufactured by a sister company)
  • Hand tools and farming equipment
  • Irrigation and water solutions

Who This Role Could Be a Fit For

Experience & Background

  • Experience in agricultural supply, ag equipment, construction, or related B2B sales is highly valued
  • Experience selling to growers or contractors is a strong plus, but not required
  • Candidates with transferable B2B sales experience and a desire to learn the ag space are encouraged to apply
  • Broad industry exposure is welcomed; deep crop specialization is not necessary

Leadership & Growth Potential

  • Prior manager-level experience is helpful, but not mandatory
  • Strong individual contributors with clear leadership potential are encouraged to explore the role
  • Comfortable balancing field sales with team support and storefront collaboration
  • Interested in growing into a future leadership or Sales Director-level role

Culture & Values

Culture fit matters deeply. This team is building for the long term and values people who:

  • Want to build something meaningful
  • Embrace growth, structure, and accountability
  • Lead with humility and ownership
  • Thrive in change and enjoy helping shape what comes next

The company is committed to setting this person up for success with support, structure, and clear expectations.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary

  • $70,000–$80,000 DOE

Commission

  • Performance-based commission with meaningful upside
