About the Opportunity

Our client, a rapidly growing global food manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced Vice President or Director of Sales to lead and scale their commercial organization. This is a high-impact leadership role reporting directly to the President, offering significant exposure to executive leadership and the opportunity to help shape the company’s long-term growth strategy.


The organization is looking for a dynamic and strategic sales leader who can build structure within the sales department, drive revenue growth, and develop a high-performing commercial team. This individual will play a critical role in expanding market share, strengthening customer partnerships, and positioning the company for continued global expansion.


This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in building and scaling sales organizations, developing go-to-market strategies, and partnering closely with executive leadership to drive business results.


Key Responsibilities


Sales Strategy & Growth

• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion

• Identify new market opportunities across domestic and international channels

• Build scalable sales processes and systems to support long-term growth

• Drive pricing strategy, margin optimization, and profitable revenue expansion


Leadership & Team Development

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team

• Establish performance metrics, KPIs, and accountability structures

• Recruit and develop sales talent as the organization continues to grow

• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement


Customer & Market Development

• Strengthen relationships with key accounts, distributors, and strategic partners

• Expand the company’s presence across retail, foodservice, and distribution channels

• Identify and secure new business opportunities with national and global customers

• Represent the organization at industry events and key customer engagements


Executive Collaboration

• Work closely with the President and executive leadership team to align sales strategy with company growth objectives

• Partner with operations, supply chain, and marketing to ensure alignment between production capabilities and sales growth

• Provide strategic insight on market trends, competitive intelligence, and growth opportunities


Performance Management & Reporting

• Track and analyze sales performance metrics to ensure targets are met

• Develop forecasting models and revenue projections

• Implement CRM and reporting structures to improve pipeline visibility and decision-making


Ideal Candidate Profile

• 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience within food manufacturing, CPG, or related industries

• Proven track record of building and scaling sales organizations

• Strong experience developing national or global customer relationships

• Experience managing large revenue portfolios and strategic accounts

• Demonstrated success leading high-performing teams and driving revenue growth

• Strategic thinker with strong operational and financial acumen

• Ability to thrive in a fast-growing and entrepreneurial environment


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or related field preferred

• MBA or advanced degree is a plus

• Experience within global food manufacturing or CPG distribution channels strongly preferred

• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
