How You’ll Contribute to Our Partner’s Success:

As the Director of Live Operations, you’ll play a critical leadership role in overseeing daily transportation of livestock. You’ll develop and implement strategic plans, optimize operational efficiency, and ensure animal welfare standards are upheld across all live haul activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic and Financial Oversight: Develop long-term strategies, prepare budgets, and monitor financial reports to control costs and maximize efficiency in live haul operations.
• Operational Excellence: Streamline logistics and integrate technology solutions to optimize routes, reduce transportation costs, and enhance overall productivity.
• Animal Welfare and Food Safety: Maintain high standards for livestock care during transport; promptly report welfare or food safety concerns. Live haul and transportation management
• Team Leadership and Training: Lead, mentor, and train live haul personnel; collaborate with internal teams and external experts to ensure operational and regulatory compliance.
• Maintenance and Compliance: Report equipment and vehicle damage using the company’s work order software. Ensure adherence to company policies, GMPs, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, animal science, or a related field (required); coursework in business management preferred.
• 5+ years of director-level experience in live haul or livestock operations (poultry preferred).
• Proven leadership experience managing multiple locations and cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Knowledge of animal welfare guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
