How You’ll Contribute to Our Partner’s Success:

As the Director of Supply Chain, you’ll provide strategic and operational leadership across planning, purchasing, warehousing, transportation, and customer service at two production facilities. You will lead a high-performing team, manage inventory and logistics across multiple sites, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely, cost-effective product flow. Reporting directly to executive leadership, your work will drive supply chain excellence in a cold storage, food-grade environment.


Leadership and Compliance Oversight

  • Lead a multi-level team of 40–50 staff, including 5 direct reports, across two locations with a focus on performance development, employee engagement, and goal alignment.
  • Oversee compliance with DOT regulations and supervise recordkeeping in collaboration with the Fleet Manager.
  • Conduct regular safety training and ensure adherence to warehousing and transportation compliance standards.
  • Lead supplier governance activities, executive vendor meetings, and contract negotiations to ensure on-time and cost-effective product flow.
  • Monitor KPIs across supply chain functions and use data to inform risk management and supplier accountability.


Operational Planning and Execution

  • Manage all aspects of internal supply chain operations, including production planning, global logistics, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
  • Coordinate daily warehouse activities and ensure highest-quality standards in storing, shipping, and handling of both perishable and non-perishable goods.
  • Implement and maintain systems that ensure transaction integrity and cost-effective inventory turnover.
  • Identify capacity constraints and oversee mid- to long-term planning aligned with demand forecasts and business growth.
  • Foster seamless collaboration with processing, marketing, finance, and quality teams to align supply chain strategy with operational goals.


Process Improvement and Strategic Impact

  • Analyze current supply chain processes and eliminate non-value-added activities to improve performance and reduce costs.
  • Develop and implement best-in-class practices in procurement, inventory control, production planning, and materials management.
  • Leverage technology and systems to drive end-to-end supply chain visibility and efficiency.
  • Lead long-range equipment and asset acquisition planning to support business expansion and performance goals.
  • Promote a strengths-based, accountable culture that emphasizes operational discipline, communication, and continuous improvement.


What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field required. Master’s in Supply Chain or Business preferred.


Experience:

10+ years of progressive leadership in supply chain and logistics, preferably in cold storage, food, or beverage industries. Experience managing inventory across multiple sites and leading high-impact cross-functional projects.


Leadership:

Demonstrated ability to develop teams, align departmental strategy with corporate goals, and manage multiple complex priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Technical Knowledge:

  • Deep knowledge of supply chain operations, sourcing, inventory strategy, logistics, and compliance
  • Advanced experience with DOT regulations, cold storage protocols, and ERP/supply chain systems
  • Skilled in performance metrics, cost analysis, and cross-functional communication
  • Ability to develop and manage supplier agreements, drive procurement strategy, and ensure transactional accuracy
  • Strong negotiation, organizational, and decision-making capabilities
  • Valid driver’s license required
