They are currently seeking an Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Manager to join their finance team. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of transactions.
- Lead and mentor a small AP/AR team, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Review and approve invoices, expense reports, and payment runs while ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Oversee customer billing, collections, and cash application processes.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, sales, and finance to resolve discrepancies and improve workflows.
- Monitor account balances, aging reports, and vendor statements; escalate and resolve issues proactively.
- Assist with month-end close by preparing reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting related to AP/AR.
- Support audits and provide documentation as required.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, automate tasks, and enhance internal controls.
Ideal Candidate Background:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 4+ years of AP/AR experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Hands-on leader who enjoys both managing people and working directly on transactional tasks.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, cash application, and reconciliation.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP/accounting software preferred.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to motivate and mentor staff.
