They are currently seeking an experienced Director of Maintenance to lead their maintenance, engineering, and automation functions. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for ensuring reliability, efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement across operations. The Director will play a key role in capital projects, automation strategy, and cross-functional collaboration with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee maintenance, engineering, and automation teams, including supervisors, planners, technicians, and contractors.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize uptime and efficiency.
- Lead automation initiatives including PLCs, robotics, SCADA, IoT integration, and advanced analytics.
- Manage troubleshooting, repair, and system upgrades across mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.
- Oversee spare parts inventory, vendor management, and contractor performance.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and quality standards (OSHA, GMP, HACCP, etc.).
- Lead capital projects and equipment installations; manage budgets and ROI tracking.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and IT to ensure alignment with operational goals.
- Provide technical expertise and strategic guidance to senior leadership on long-term maintenance and automation strategies.
Ideal Candidate Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or Industrial Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive maintenance and engineering experience, with at least 5 years in leadership.
- Strong expertise in mechanical, electrical, and controls systems (PLCs, robotics, SCADA, industrial automation).
- Proven track record with preventive/predictive maintenance programs and capital project execution.
- Knowledge of food, beverage, or industrial processing equipment a plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strong business acumen with budget management experience.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
