How You’ll Contribute to Our Partner’s Success
As a Processing Plant Manager with proven experience in food or agricultural operations, you will play a critical role in leading all aspects of egg grading and processing, ensuring safety, quality, compliance, and efficiency across the facility. You will provide hands-on leadership to your team while driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and adherence to customer, company, and regulatory standards.

You’ll be working with a leadership team that values accountability, collaboration, and results—and expects you to set the standard for performance, safety, and quality from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily plant operations, overseeing staffing, production scheduling, and workflow to ensure product quality and efficiency.
- Direct and train team members, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Manage compliance with SQF, GMP, HACCP, animal welfare, and all company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct pre-operational and sanitation inspections, ensuring equipment and facility readiness before production.
- Monitor production metrics, including egg quality, carton/box coding, product weights, and grading accuracy.
- Partner cross-functionally with Quality Control, Maintenance, Flock Management, Sanitation, and Shipping/Receiving to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Oversee maintenance coordination and troubleshooting efforts, ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime.
- Ensure accurate completion and timely submission of production records, audit documentation, and compliance reports.
- Lead safety initiatives, accident prevention, and investigations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Drive team development through performance evaluations, coaching, and training initiatives.
- Support special projects, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives across the complex.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of management or supervisory experience in a food processing, agricultural, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of food safety and quality programs (SQF, GMP, HACCP) and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to build, train, and motivate a diverse team.
- Proven organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to support maintenance troubleshooting as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or degree preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical activities such as climbing, walking, and balancing as required.
