Position Overview
A growing law firm is seeking a non-attorney Business Development Manager to drive client acquisition and expand the firm’s presence across key practice areas. This role is ideal for a results-driven sales professional who thrives in a relationship-based environment and understands how to convert opportunities into long-term client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound outreach to prospective clients, referral sources, and strategic partners
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads and coordinate initial consultations with attorneys
- Build and maintain strong relationships to generate consistent business opportunities
- Manage and track sales pipelines, ensuring accurate reporting and follow-up
- Collaborate closely with attorneys to align client needs with the firm’s services
- Identify new business opportunities across targeted practice areas
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform outreach strategy
- Attend networking events, industry functions, and community engagements
- Support marketing and branding initiatives to increase firm visibility
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, or client-facing roles
- Experience in legal, professional services, or B2B sales strongly preferred
- Proven ability to generate leads and close business in a consultative sales environment
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to understand complex client needs and translate them into actionable solutions
- Highly organized with experience managing pipelines and CRM systems
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven setting
