Remote position with required attendance for in-person court appearances within Florida's First Judicial Circuit when necessary.


Position Overview

A growing Family Law practice is seeking an experienced Senior Family Law Attorney to handle complex family law matters, lead litigation strategy, and oversee a dedicated support team. This role is ideal for a highly motivated attorney with substantial courtroom experience who is looking for a leadership opportunity within a client-focused and results-driven environment.

The successful candidate will manage their own caseload, supervise paralegals and legal support staff, and serve as lead counsel in contested family law matters.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a full caseload of family law matters from intake through resolution
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Serve as lead trial attorney in contested family law cases
  • Develop case strategy and provide legal guidance to clients
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, agreements, and other legal documents
  • Supervise and mentor paralegals, legal assistants, and administrative staff
  • Ensure cases move efficiently through the litigation process
  • Maintain strong client communication and exceptional client service
  • Attend in-person court appearances within the First Judicial Circuit when required


Qualifications

Required

  • Active Florida Bar license in good standing
  • Minimum of 4 years of full-time experience practicing Family Law, Divorce Law, or Civil Litigation
  • Trial experience as lead attorney in at least 6 trials lasting one day or longer within the past two years
  • Strong litigation and courtroom advocacy skills
  • Proven ability to manage legal support staff and provide leadership to a team
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and case management abilities
  • Willingness to pursue Florida Bar Board Certification in Family Law if not already certified


Preferred

  • Florida Bar Board Certification in Family Law
  • Extensive family law litigation experience
  • Experience handling high-conflict custody, support, and property division matters
  • Leadership experience within a law firm environment
