We are growing and seeking an experienced Lead Dental Assistant to join us in delivering world-class dentistry in Louisville.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical & People Leadership
- Oversee daily operations of chairside dentistry and sterilization protocols.
- Create weekly sterilization and equipment maintenance assignments for assistants/hygienists.
- Manage clinical supply ordering, stocking, and organization.
- Maintain strong and consistent communication with the in-house lab for case needs.
- Ensure seamless preparation and assistance for surgical procedures.
- Provide leadership in training, delegation, and team support.
- Participate in patient “after-hours” call rotation when needed.
Chairside & General Duties
- Partner with dentists to maintain a compassionate, patient-centered care environment.
- Deliver excellent clinical support, patient education, and diagnostic assistance (x-rays, health histories, etc.).
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms in compliance with CDC/OSHA guidelines.
- Aid in accurate and timely completion of clinical notes.
- Sterilize and deliver instruments for efficient workflow.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in all clinical areas.
- Actively contribute ideas to improve patient experience.
- Support continuing improvement by staying current with CE opportunities and networking.
- Promote teamwork and positivity across the practice.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the dentist or management.
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience as a Dental Assistant (general dentistry, endodontics, or prosthodontics preferred).
- Expanded Duties (EDDA/EFDA) certification strongly preferred.
- High School Diploma required; Dental Assistant Certification preferred.
- X-Ray and CPR certifications required.
- Experience with Open Dental, Dexis, or similar dental software systems.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong work ethic, service orientation, and proven ability to build positive relationships with patients and staff.
