Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintains a consistent patient treatment schedule based on department needs.
  • Delivers treatments as outlined in the care plan, including patient education, therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, activities, and modalities.
  • Communicates regularly with supervisors and team members regarding patient progress or concerns.
  • Accurately documents daily treatment notes and record treatment charges in a timely manner.
  • Instructs patients on the use of assistive/adaptive devices and at-home exercise programs.
  • Supports onboarding and training of new staff members.
  • Demonstrates clear and effective communication—written, verbal, non-verbal, and electronic.
  • Actively listen to patient and team concerns, exchanging feedback constructively and respectfully.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Practices sound judgment and decision-making, showing flexibility in a dynamic work environment.
  • Proactively identifies and address challenges.
  • Go above and beyond to meet patient needs with professionalism and empathy.
  • Maintains composure under pressure while staying approachable and compassionate.
  • Prioritizes workload to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Adheres to attendance, break, and time-off policies.
  • Ensures a safe work environment for patients and staff.
  • Keeps treatment areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols.
  • Reports and responds appropriately to accidents or incidents in the workplace.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply!
  • Current PTA licensure in good standing
