Job Summary:
Responsible for identifying, processing, and documenting laboratory specimens to assist in the assessment and monitoring of patient health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procedures for collecting, processing, and analyzing biological specimens and other substances.
- Perform and report analytical tests, interpreting data from various clinical laboratory areas and resolving discrepancies when needed.
- Confirm abnormal test results by verifying quality control processes and troubleshooting issues related to laboratory data.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on laboratory equipment and coordinate with appropriate sources for repairs.
- Promote departmental goals by demonstrating teamwork, service excellence, adherence to protocols, and continuous process improvement.
- Provide support and guidance to medical laboratory science students during hands-on educational activities.

Uses independent judgment to plan and execute technical processes and make informed decisions in a complex clinical environment.
Working Relationships:
- Direct interaction with patients and/or customers.
- Communication with internal stakeholders through in-person and telephone contact.

Skills & Experience:
Required:
- Minimum of one (1) year of laboratory experience involving high complexity testing.
- Proficient computer skills for effective data entry and analysis.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Well-organized, efficient work habits.
- High attention to detail when handling clinical and numerical data.

- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related biological or chemical science from an accredited institution.
