How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in dialysis care, you’ll play an essential role in improving the quality of life for patients living with kidney disease. You’ll provide compassionate, high-quality care while supporting and mentoring Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) and working alongside an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
What You’ll Do
Patient Care
- Provide safe, comfortable, and effective dialysis treatment to patients.
- Conduct and document physical assessments before and after treatments.
- Monitor patients throughout dialysis sessions, addressing needs and concerns promptly.
- Complete monthly medication profile reviews and administer medications as ordered by physicians.
Teamwork & Collaboration
- Serve as an active member of the interdisciplinary care team, contributing to patient assessments and care planning.
- Assist in ensuring proper staffing levels in accordance with state regulations.
- Support and supervise PCTs, fostering a collaborative and supportive care environment.
Safety & Quality
- Adhere to all regulatory standards, clinical policies, and infection control protocols.
- Participate in ongoing education, training, and team meetings.
- Maintain accurate documentation to support compliance and high-quality patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
Required
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
- Ability to distinguish all primary colors (for dialysis safety protocols).
Preferred
- One or more years of current nursing experience.
- Previous dialysis nursing experience.
