Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Compensation: $32 to $52 per hour. Depending on years of experience


Are you a quick-thinking and highly skilled registered nurse with a passion for critical care? We are looking for a Full-Time ICU Registered Nurse to join our team.


As an ICU Registered Nurse, you will provide specialized, high-acuity care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. Using the nursing process, you’ll assess complex patient conditions, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer life-saving interventions, and continuously evaluate patient responses. This role requires vigilance, advanced clinical judgment, and the ability to respond rapidly to emergency situations.



In this role, you will:

  • Use the nursing process to provide exceptional care to critically ill patients: assessing their needs, developing a personalized plan, implementing it, and evaluating their response.
  • Act as a leader by collaborating with and directing the healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
  • Administer life-saving medications, IVs, and treatments with precision and confidence.
  • Actively respond to life-threatening situations and emergencies.
  • Help orient and train new staff and nursing students.


What We're Looking For


Required Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse in Wisconsin or Illinois.
  • Current BLS and/or CPR certification (or the ability to obtain it within 6 weeks of hire).
  • Entry-level experience is welcome.


Experience

  • New graduates with strong critical care interest will be considered
  • Prior ICU, step-down, or critical care experience strongly preferred



Skills & Abilities:

  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • The ability to act quickly and calmly in high-pressure situations.
  • A strong understanding of the Wisconsin Nurse Practices Act.
  • The physical, technical, and cognitive ability to use specialized patient care equipment.
