Title: Denture Technician (Set-Ups & Waxing Specialist)

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Denture Technician, specializing in Set-Ups and Waxing, to join our growing dental laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabricating high-quality removable prosthetics and be proficient in creating aesthetically pleasing and functional wax models.
Key Responsibilities
- Denture Set-Ups:
- Interpret dental prescriptions and work orders accurately to determine design and specifications for full and partial dentures.
- Mount models accurately on articulators to simulate jaw movements and proper occlusion.
- Arrange and set prosthetic teeth (including anatomical, functional, and aesthetic considerations) according to prescription, ensuring proper alignment, overbite, and overjet.
- Conduct necessary checks and adjustments to the set-up for try-in stage.
- Waxing:
- Sculpt and contour wax around the set teeth to form the full anatomical contours of the artificial gums (gingival form and festooning).
- Create highly aesthetic and natural-looking wax-ups for try-ins and final processing.
- Prepare and finish the wax models for the flasking process, ensuring a clean and precise margin.
- Quality & Compliance:
- Inspect and test finished setups and wax-ups for conformance to prescription, quality standards, and proper occlusion.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation, adhering to all laboratory safety and infection control protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with laboratory management and other technicians to ensure timely and accurate case completion.
Qualifications and Skills

Experience: Minimum of [Insert specific number, e.g., 3-5] years of dedicated experience as a Denture Technician with proven proficiency in teeth set-up and waxing.

Technical Proficiency: Exceptional manual dexterity and fine motor skills. In-depth knowledge of dental anatomy, occlusion, and prosthetic aesthetics.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; formal training from an accredited dental laboratory technology program is highly desirable.

Certifications: CDT (Certified Dental Technician) is a plus, but not required.
