Full Service CAP Certified Laboratory Seeking Assistant Lab Manager
Location: Sullivan, MO ( Relocation Offered) up to $15,000
Shift: Days M-F
The lab performs a variety of tests including basic and comprehensive profiles, lipid panels, complete blood count, coagulation studies and therapeutic drug testing. The lab also provides blood bank services and features an outpatient drawing room.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides direct leadership and oversight for assigned staff, including hiring, onboarding, training, work assignment, performance management, and professional development planning. Ensures team productivity and outcomes align with departmental and organizational goals.
- Directs, supports, and promotes continuous quality improvement initiatives to achieve excellence in clinical outcomes and service delivery.
- Oversees the technical and administrative operations of the laboratory, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures. Serves as a liaison between the laboratory and other hospital departments.
- Supports system-wide laboratory service integration and consolidation efforts, acting as a key point of contact for referring facilities and testing partners.
- Maintains current knowledge of emerging technologies, testing methodologies, equipment, and industry best practices. Reviews, updates, and develops laboratory procedures as needed and provides input into the evaluation and selection of new technologies to improve performance and efficiency.
- Ensures laboratory services are maintained in compliance with applicable organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and accreditation agency guidelines.
- Actively participates in hospital and system-wide committees focused on laboratory standardization, quality improvement, and supply chain initiatives.
