MEDICAL ASSISTANT (MA)


LOCATION: Missoula, MT

JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent


We are looking for a compassionate, proactive Medical Assistant to join a dynamic primary care team focused on delivering exceptional, relationship-based care to seniors. In this role, you’ll work side-by-side with a Nurse Practitioner to ensure patients receive personalized, coordinated support that makes a real difference in their health and well-being.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide hands-on clinical care including rooming patients, taking vitals, performing screenings, and assisting with exams and procedures.
  • Conduct phlebotomy, administer vaccinations, and perform tests such as EKGs, ABI, and spirometry.
  • Support efficient clinic operations by preparing charts, maintaining exam rooms, and ensuring timely patient flow.
  • Partner with the Nurse Practitioner to manage a patient panel and help deliver high-quality, compassionate care.
  • Coordinate labs, imaging, specialty referrals, and follow-up appointments.
  • Educate patients on preventive care, medication management, and healthy lifestyle practices.
  • Assist with prior authorizations, medication refills, and medical record retrieval.
  • Maintain clinic safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with completion of an accredited program
  • 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience (primary care preferred)
  • Phlebotomy experience required; lab experience a plus
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Team player with a patient-first attitude and commitment to quality care
