Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Outpatient Facility

Location: Bethesda, MD 20817

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient rehabilitation team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality care and assist in the rehabilitation of patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, and post-surgical conditions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a passion for helping patients achieve their functional goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist in accordance with patients’ needs and goals.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, response to treatment, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on proper exercise techniques, home exercise programs, and injury prevention.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation in compliance with state, federal, and facility guidelines.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient care plans and optimize outcomes.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment.
  • Adhere to professional standards, clinic policies, and HIPAA regulations.


Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
  • CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • Previous outpatient experience preferred but not required (new grads welcome to apply).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.


Working Conditions:
