Job Title: Family Practice Physician (MD/DO)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Department: Primary Care Services

Reports To: Clinical Director / Chief Medical Officer


Setting: Primary Care Outpatient (Mon-Fri, no weekends)

Position Summary:

The Family Practice Physician will provide comprehensive, full-spectrum primary care to patients of all ages in a community-based setting. This role is ideal for a provider who is deeply committed to health equity, understands the complex needs of underserved populations, and thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

  • Provide routine and preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care services.
  • Perform physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, and prescribe medications.
  • Coordinate care with behavioral health, social services, nursing, and specialty referrals.
  • Ensure culturally competent, trauma-informed care that respects the lived experiences of each patient.


Team Collaboration:

  • Participate in daily team huddles, case conferences, and quality improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with nurse practitioners, nurses, MAs, behavioral health providers, and care coordinators.
  • Precept students or residents (if applicable) and support peer learning across the clinic team.


Documentation & Compliance:

  • Accurately document all encounters and care plans in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Follow evidence-based guidelines and comply with all regulatory, licensing, and accreditation requirements.
  • Contribute to initiatives that improve access, outcomes, and patient satisfaction.


Qualifications:

  • MD or DO with active, unrestricted license in Maryland
  • Board-certified (or board-eligible) in Family Medicine.
  • DEA license and current BLS certification required.
  • Experience working with diverse, underserved, or high-need populations strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills a strong plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; committed to team-based care.
