Title: Nurse Manager, Emergency Services

Position Summary
The Nurse Manager of Emergency Services provides day-to-day leadership within a 44-bed ED serving 140–180 patients daily. You will oversee 55.8 FTEs, partner closely with the ED Director, and drive clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and employee engagement.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
- Direct daily activities of all ED staff during the evening shift
- Assist in staffing plans, schedules, workflow, and departmental operations
- Lead conflict resolution, performance feedback, coaching, and disciplinary actions
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Clinical Excellence
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of ED clinical practice and equipment
- Assist with clinical procedures as needed
- Manage patients' care processes and support case management
Staff Engagement & Development
- Coach and mentor new hires, working with preceptors to support onboarding
- Assess staff development needs and coordinate training
- Actively participate in hospital and departmental committees
Quality & Safety Oversight
- Ensure timely completion of unit-quality checks
- Support PI initiatives with data collection, analysis, and implementation
- Help maintain a safe, professional, and service-focused environment
📌 Qualifications

3–5 years of recent ED leadership experience (must be within the last year)

RN diploma or Associate Degree required; must be enrolled in BSN program
- Current FL RN or compact license (FL required within 90 days if compact)

BLS certification within 30 days of start
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
