RN – Registered Nurse (Med/Surg)

Shift: Full-time • Days and Nights (Rotating Weekends)

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients. This role includes ongoing assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for Med/Surg patients.
• Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, and care instructions.
• Maintain and review patient records, including documenting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with provider orders.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice or compact licensure, with state-specific licensure obtained within required timeframes.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Strong critical thinking abilities, effective communication skills, proficiency with computers, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Additional Requirements

• Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not already held.
• Must have recent acute care RN experience (no recent LTAC experience).
