Cardiac Neuro (Stroke Unit)

Location: Sanford, FL

Shifts Available: Days or Nights (Rotating Weekends)

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN to join our Cardiac Neuro Stroke Unit. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to patients recovering from strokes, cardiac events, and other neurological conditions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Monitor critical vital signs and respond promptly to life-threatening situations.
  • Advocate for patients as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
  • Educate patients and families on medications, procedures, and ongoing care.
  • Ensure safe and efficient use of resources, equipment, and time.

Unit Details:

  • Stroke/Neuro & Med/Surg patient population
  • Equipment includes Baxter pumps, GE telemetry, vital machines, and bladder scanner
  • EMR: Meditech

Qualifications:

  • Active Florida RN license or approved multistate license (compact).
  • Nursing diploma or associate degree (BSN preferred).
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification within 30 days of hire.
  • BLS within 30 days of hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
  • 1 year of recent acute care RN experience preferred. Acute rehab experience will be considered if comfortable working in a stroke unit.
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration skills, and a willingness to learn.
