Position Title: ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

- Days (Rotating Weekends)
- Nights (Rotating Weekends)
About the Facility
This 323-bed acute care hospital, located in the heart of Ocala, Florida.
The ICU Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care consistent with nursing standards and scope of practice. Working in collaboration with providers and the interdisciplinary team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN advocates for patients and families, supports quality outcomes, and upholds the organization’s mission and values.
Responsibilities:
- Perform assessments, procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by providers.
- Document care delivery accurately and promptly in the patient medical record.
- Provide patient/family education on medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
- Prepare patients and families for self-management and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and deliver a holistic, evidence-based plan of care.
- Participate in quality initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental performance.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of recent Acute Care RN experience (ICU or higher acuity than Med/Surg preferred; strong Med/Surg candidates considered).
- Current RN license in Florida or compact license (must obtain Florida license within 60 days if relocating).
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 30 days of hire.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or CCRN certification required within 1 year of hire.
Unit Information:
- 48-bed Intensive Care Unit.
- Reports to: Nurse Manager.
