Role Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead all hospice operations—clinical quality, staff leadership, compliance, financial performance, and community relationships. This role is hands-on and requires regular travel within the service area.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Set vision, direction, and performance goals for the hospice program.
- Build a high-performance, collaborative culture.
- Identify growth opportunities and guide expansion initiatives.
- Drive continuous quality improvement.
Clinical Operations
- Oversee admissions, care planning, and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Ensure full compliance with Medicare and state regulations.
- Monitor clinical quality, outcomes, and satisfaction.
Staff Leadership
- Recruit, hire, and retain clinical and administrative staff.
- Lead onboarding, training, and ongoing education.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and accountability.
- Maintain clear communication through team and 1:1 meetings.
Financial Management
- Manage annual budget, revenue, and cost control.
- Maintain high standards while ensuring operational efficiency.
- Support payer relationships and referral growth initiatives.
Community & Provider Relations
- Strengthen relationships with physicians, health systems, and community partners.
- Represent the hospice at events and educational activities.
- Advocate for high-quality end-of-life care in the community.
Qualifications
- Active RN license (required).
- BSN preferred; Master’s in Nursing, Business, or Healthcare Administration preferred.

1+ year hospice management experience (required).

3+ years hospice/palliative care experience preferred.
- CPR certification; valid driver’s license/insurance.
- Strong knowledge of hospice regulations and clinical best practices.
- Skilled in leadership, communication, budgeting, and problem-solving.
- Passion for compassionate, patient-centered care.
