Job Title: Division Director of Laboratory Services

Location: Tennessee (Relocation Considered)

Salary: Up to $160,000 + Bonus + $20K Sign-On

A large national healthcare laboratory services organization is seeking a Division Director of Laboratory Services to oversee laboratory operations across multiple hospitals within a regional division. This leadership role partners with hospital executives and laboratory teams to drive operational excellence, quality, and financial performance across multi-site laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for laboratory services across multiple hospitals.
• Partner with hospital executives, pathology leadership, and laboratory teams to improve quality, efficiency, and cost performance.
• Conduct operational assessments including workflow analysis, utilization review, financial analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
• Implement standardized laboratory test menus, equipment platforms, and best practices across facilities.
• Evaluate laboratory outreach programs, reference testing utilization, and vendor partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
• Monitor financial performance, budgets, and operational metrics.
• Lead and mentor laboratory directors and operational leaders within the division.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or Laboratory Science required
• Medical Technologist background required
• 5+ years of laboratory leadership experience at the manager or director level
• Experience overseeing multi-site laboratory operations
• Strong knowledge of hospital laboratory operations, financial management, and regulatory compliance
• Experience working within complex healthcare systems and matrixed environments preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: Up to $160,000
• Annual Incentive Bonus: Up to 17.5%
• Sign-On Bonus: $20,000
