Job Description:

Under the general direction of the DON and Administrator, The Director of Wellness will be involved in planning and coordinating the activates of the nursing team and assist in the day-to-day operations of the facility. The Wellness director must be very passionate about making a difference, and make sure the residents have a wonderful quality of life. Must have great communication skills, be very personable to the staff, residents and families. Must be able to take on challenges without being overwhelmed.

Minimum Education & Experience:

• Two (2) years of experience in a management role and a Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice or (LPN) Licensed Practical Nurse
• Must have and maintain current BLS certification or obtain within orientation process, prior to hands-on patient care. 
• Two (2) years of clinical experience in specialty area. 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence if required. 
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills.
