Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, Richmond’s largest delivery center with a Level III NICU, is seeking a compassionate, Board Certified/Board Eligible Neonatologist to join a highly collaborative, innovative team committed to excellence in neonatal care, providing 24/7 in-house coverage in a state-of-the-art single-family room NICU environment.
Job Description:
- Provide exceptional neonatal intensive care in a 40-bed Level III NICU at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital
- Collaborate with a dedicated group of Neonatologists providing continuous 24/7 in-house coverage
- Utilize advanced therapies such as HFOV (High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation), HFJV (High-Frequency Jet Ventilation), inhaled nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia
- Work alongside on-site pediatric surgery and cardiology specialists to ensure comprehensive care
- Coordinate with a nurse-led neonatal transport team for patient transfers and emergency situations
- Deliver care in a single-family room NICU model that prioritizes family-centered care
- No requirement to cover the newborn nursery, focusing exclusively on NICU patients
- Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and collaborative clinical research supported by Pediatrix Medical Group
