Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Full Time)

Location: Beaumont, TX

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our healthcare team in Beaumont, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality nuclear medicine imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing exceptional patient care. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
  • Prepare, calculate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals while adhering to all radiation safety standards.
  • Operate gamma cameras, PET/CT systems, and related imaging equipment.
  • Evaluate imaging results for quality, clarity, and diagnostic accuracy.
  • Maintain detailed patient records, imaging logs, and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Educate and prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and addressing concerns.
  • Ensure strict adherence to ALARA principles and all federal, state, and departmental safety regulations.
  • Assist with equipment quality control, calibrations, and routine maintenance.
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff.
  • Participate in continuing education and stay current with industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
  • Current certification by NMTCB (CNMT) or ARRT (N).
  • Current Texas Medical Board (TMB) licensure or eligibility.
  • BLS certification (ACLS preferred depending on facility).
  • Strong understanding of radiation physics, radiopharmaceutical handling, and imaging technology.
  • Excellent communication, patient-care, and critical-thinking skills.

Work Schedule:

Full-time; M-F day shift

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift or assist patients as needed.
  • Manual dexterity to operate imaging and computer equipment.
