Dental Hygienist Opportunity

Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, confident in clinical skills, and committed to providing high-quality preventive and therapeutic dental care. This role supports the dentist in delivering exceptional patient experiences while promoting oral health education and long-term patient relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings (prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance)
• Conduct oral health assessments, including periodontal charting and evaluation of gum health
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Administer local anesthesia as permitted by state regulations
• Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Review medical histories and update patient records accurately
• Identify conditions such as gingivitis, periodontal disease, and other oral abnormalities
• Assist the dentist during exams and procedures as needed
• Maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols
• Ensure operatories are prepared, clean, and fully stocked



Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
• Active state Dental Hygiene license in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Local anesthesia certification (if applicable to state regulations)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of dental software and digital radiography systems preferred
