Overview

We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide respiratory care during night shift hours in an acute-care hospital setting. This role supports patients across multiple care areas while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and clinical teams to deliver safe, evidence-based care.

Schedule

  • Night Shift: 6:30 PM – 6:45 AM
  • Full-time
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Rotating weekends depending on department need

Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory treatments and airway management for patients of varying acuity
  • Monitor and adjust ventilators and other advanced respiratory equipment
  • Perform ABGs, interpret results, and communicate clinical findings
  • Assess patients and contribute to individualized respiratory care plans
  • Respond to rapid response and code situations
  • Assist with emergency airway support
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies
  • Ensure accurate EMR documentation
  • Follow hospital and regulatory standards

Qualifications

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Current state license or eligibility
  • BLS required; ACLS preferred depending on unit
  • Acute-care experience preferred (new grads considered depending on department)

  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
  • Experience with ventilator management
  • Ability to function independently on night shift
