Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Full Time)

Position Summary

This growing health system is looking for an Operating Room Registered Nurse provides safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care while supporting patient safety, efficiency, and positive surgical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop perioperative plans of care.
• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
• Circulate during surgical cases and coordinate patient care.
• Maintain sterile technique and support aseptic practices.
• Perform surgical counts, time-outs, and safety verifications.
• Monitor patient status and respond to intraoperative changes.
• Administer medications and blood products per policy.
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Precept and mentor new staff; float to similar units as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Active South Carolina RN license or compact (multi-state) license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS); additional unit-specific certifications as required.

Work Schedule

• Full-time (80 hours bi-weekly)
• Call required (30-minute response time)
• Monday–Friday, daytime hours (no weekends)
