Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

About the Role

As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you’ll play a hands-on role in helping patients restore movement, improve function, and regain independence. Working side-by-side with Physical Therapists, you’ll provide individualized treatments, support wellness education, and ensure patients receive compassionate, high-quality care.

What You’ll Do

• Implement treatment plans designed by licensed Physical Therapists
• Lead patients through therapeutic exercises, functional training, and mobility programs
• Provide manual therapy and use therapeutic equipment/modalities as directed
• Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to support recovery at home
• Assist with screenings, evaluations, and progress tracking
• Train patients in safe use of prosthetics, orthotics, and assistive devices
• Maintain accurate documentation to track progress and support care continuity
• Collaborate with rehab teams to achieve the best patient outcomes
• Contribute to equipment upkeep and safe clinical practices

What We’re Looking For

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current state licensure (or eligibility) and CPR certification
• Strong clinical and patient-care skills
• Compassion, patience, and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to lift, bend, and support patients as needed
