Position Title: Senior Program Manager/VP
Position Location: Remote. Candidates may need to visit the CMS campus on occasion.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Work closely with CMS to provide project management and administrative project support, oversee all aspects of project work based on inputs and priorities from the COR and other stakeholders and regularly report progress.
- Demonstrate ability to work with all system stakeholders including COR, system owners, business owners, and lead technical and functional teams to document, design, develop, test, and validate a system to successful implementation throughout the systems development lifecycle.
- Effectively coordinate and lead meetings with business and system owners as well as necessary stakeholders such as business users to understand and document desired system requirements and successfully implement them while maintaining consistent and effective communication regarding status, risk, and mitigating activities.
- Ensure quality in analysis, documentation, design, development, testing, and deployment as well as continuity of operations and maintenance activities.
- Provide and ensure effective financial management and timekeeping, status reporting, briefings and necessary communications and management activities to ensure milestones/tasks are met on time and within scope and budget.
- Lead and coordinate project schedule and task management activities such as ensuring proper estimation, planning, execution and tracking of iterative / agile releases.
- Provide results driven proactive leadership and initiative in managing the team to ensure all project needs are met and appropriately communicated.
- Manage resources – appropriate staffing levels, expertise and skill set, and proper training and mentoring for the contract team. Continually assess the team and work with the COR and other stakeholders to show that the team resources, schedule, and task costs are all in alignment.
- Perform effective risk management – proactive identification, evaluation, mitigation, and monitoring of risks.
Required Years of Experience (min):
Required Degree:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
Required Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing IT projects of similar size and complexity with same/similar technology.
- Strong portfolio management, PMO and Organic Growth experience
- Excellent communications skills.
- Ability to work with key owners and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery for all O&M activities.
- Ability to lead a team in analyzing and adopting new technologies quickly
- Solid understanding of all parts of Software Engineering (e.g., Requirements, Design, Implementation, Testing) and the Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC).
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading projects in agile or iterative EPLCs.
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading IT projects for the federal government.
Required Clearance:
- Candidates must be able to secure and maintain Federal Government security clearances.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $120k - $180k
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
