Position Title: Senior Communications SME
Position Location: Hybrid (remote & 1 day per week onsite)
Daily Responsibilities:
- Manage and/or providing services that include, but are not limited to, design, creation, production, copying, distribution, creative or scientific writing services, accredited continuing education, language translation services, or adaptation of materials for special populations.
- Execute strategies and tactics for dissemination, including outreach, partnership development, marketing and promotion, technical assistance and educating and/or training of target audiences. Strategies may include media outreach, marketing to target audiences, partnership development, learning networks, technical assistance, one-on-one academic detailing, or other strategies.
- Coordinate with the customer or other existing meeting and conference support contractors to develop and submit dissemination planning and execution materials for training event or intervention.
- Provide expert communications expertise to support the development of work products and strategies for many implementation activities including, but not limited to taskings, support responses to directives, draft reports about implementation related activities, including reports to leadership and to satisfy a number of internal routine needs for briefings, updates, internal and external presentations, and related consultative support to systems.
- Support leadership in messaging regarding implementation science, process, and/or solutions.
- Identify concepts for messages, materials, or tools through formative research that may include advice and recommendations from target audience members or organizations, primary research, secondary research analysis, or other appropriate means necessary to obtain necessary information.
- Provide support to studies and analysis for the purpose of preparing special reports, studies, analyses, communications, and briefing papers on various topics related to overall agency activities and process management.
Required Years of Experience (min):
- 10+ years senior level communications experience
Required Degree/Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related field. Master’s Level Degree preferred.
Required Experience:
- Able to read, write, and speak English fluently to effectively communicate. Can enunciate with sufficient clarity to be readily understood.
- Extensive experience creating and delivering PowerPoint presentations.
- Sufficient initiative, interpersonal relationship skills and social sensitivity such that they can relate constructively to a variety of people from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent time management and communication skills; able to work in a team environment and concurrently support several active projects.
- Proficient with office equipment (e.g., computers, multi-line telephone system, voicemail, facsimile, copier, printers), as well as business software for word processing, presentations, spreadsheets, and email communications. This includes, but is not limited to, Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Required Clearance:
- Security/Background Check.
- Public Trust clearance. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $145k - $160k
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
