Job Description:

Join an existing, experienced team to install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle database environments across development, test, staging, and production systems.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and implement database schemas
  • Develop and implement security policies
  • Develop and implement Store Procedures
  • Review audit logs and document findings
  • Document and maintain system descriptions of database infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions of database systems to resolve operational issues and restore services
  • Monitor system performance
  • Identify and assist with replacement of failed components
  • Ensure all system patches and updates are current
  • Develop and maintain scripts using Perl, Java and shell scripting for installation and configurating database schemas – as required
  • Maintain custom applications in Oracle Application ExPress (APEX)
  • Maintain and monitor database systems with Oracle Cloud Control, Splunk and SolarWinds


Qualifications:

  • Ability to design, architect, engineer database designs and schemas
  • Strong knowledge of database design, normalization, and optimization techniques.
  • Experience with database backup and recovery strategies, including disaster recovery planning.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with database security practices and compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.


Required Clearance:

  • U.S. citizens and shall be able to obtain and maintain Department of Energy (DOE) Q security clearance, and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearances.
  • Shall be able to obtain and maintain Privileged User (P-U) access to United States Government (USG) network, where required. P-U access requires a current SCI clearance, a current CI Polygraph and a current Department of Defense 8140 Certification (i.e. Security + or equivalent).


Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $175,000 - $200,000 +++ annually

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
