Job Description:

The candidate should be well versed in DataPower, API’s, Message Queueing, and/or data transformations with experience and technical knowledge of web services, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and Enterprise Service Buses (ESB). The role will be working in a team environment, this position is responsible for administration and troubleshooting DataPower, API’s, Message Queueing and/or data transformation throughout the environment. 


The candidate will assist with web services, multiple protocol gateways, and additional network/gateway interfaces. The candidate will provide input and develop solutions for DataPower, Message Queueing and API’s. The candidate will provide support, troubleshooting and assist with debugging and problem solving. The candidate will need to be knowledgeable and understand certificate management along with the deployment and installation of certificates.  


Duties include:

  • Designing, implementing, document, and deploying solutions on a DataPower, Message Queueing and/or API 
  • Working with internal partner, external partners and SME’s.
  • Drive the solution discussions with customer SMEs, Business teams 
  • Understand client application landscape and environment for middleware integrations/technologies 
  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and operational support
  • Knowledge and/or use experience with automated deployments.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • '10 years of experience and a BS and MS degree. Bachelor of Science (BS) can be substituted with an additional 4 years of related experience. Masters (MS) can be substituted with an additional 2 years of related experience.
  • 5 years of IT experience with 3+ years of experience in development work using DataPower, Message Queueing , API’s, Message Transformations, and etc. 
  • Knowledge of IBM MQ and ActiveMQ technology and integration with DataPower.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in providing solutions in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and REST based architecture using DataPower, API’s, Message Queueing or similar products. 
  • Experience in developing DataPower, Message Queueing and/or API based solutions using Web-Service Proxies, Multi-Protocol Gateways (MPG), XML Firewalls, HTTPS, API’s, and etc.
  • Knowledge of IBM MQ and ActiveMQ technology and integration with DataPower. 
  • Experience using digital certificates for SSL mutual authentication and encryption.


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Strong knowledge in XML, WSDL, XSLT, JSON, XML Schema, and XPATH. 
  • Experience in supporting and troubleshooting issues with an ability to understand the system logs and system errors . 
  • Good Analytical and logical problem-solving abilities and good interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to take ownership of the task and work independently, with the team, and application support teams
  • Knowledge and understanding of programming languages; ex JAVA, Bash, scripting, python, C, and etc.


Security Clearance:

  • Must currently possess a US Government Security clearance.



Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $125k - $200k

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
