Computer Technologies Consultants (CTC) is seeking a Research Grants Manager to support the Defense Health Agency in San Diego, CA. This will be onsite at the Naval Medical Center San Diego!

Position Title: Research Grants Manager

Position Location: San Diego, CA (onsite)


Daily Responsibilities:                                 

  • Designs grant programs
  • Determines funding needs
  • Research funding opportunities and develops and responds to grant applications
  • Write, review, submit, and manage grant proposals.
  • Furnish prospective funders with supporting documents
  • Develop grant reports
  • Coordinate, educate, and engage with grant writers’
  • Identify grant support agencies
  • Optimize grant administration process
  • Manage timelines and deliverables
  • Prepare and monitor budgets
  • Track grant applications
  • Oversee portfolio of multiple grant submissions.


Required Years of Experience (min):       

  • 2+ years of grant writing experience


Required Degree:           

  • Graduate degree is required. A focus in business administration or equivalent is preferred.


Required Experience:                                  

  • Methodical and strategic thinking
  • Project management skills
  • Budgeting and accounting experience
  • Computer literacy
  • Knowledge of auditing policies
  • Strong writing skills
  • History of successful grant applications
  • Proficient with measuring and reaching income goals
  • Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel
  • Excellent knowledge of fundraising information sources
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to meet deadlines


Required Clearance:

  • T-3/ Secret Clearance required


Pay Information

Hourly: $30/hr.-$55/hr.


Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
