Our client is seeking an IT Manager to oversee its Microsoft 365 tenant, two local data centers, and local service desk services.

You will be managing the IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance of systems, and leading a team of local IT professionals. The successful candidate will drive strategic initiatives to enhance IT operations and support the company's growth objectives.


Here is what you will do on a day-to-day basis:

  • Architects and oversees the company’s Microsoft 365 tenant, ensuring high-quality services with effective security standards.
  • Manages the operation and strategic planning of two local data centers.
  • Designs and oversees local service desk services the company’s headquarters and other local businesses.
  • Leads and manages all aspects of applications, infrastructure, IT security, and vendor administration and management. Maintains guidelines, procedures, and best practices for all IT services.
  • Drives regular improvements through rapid iteration and continuous refinement of processes and configurations.
  • Ensures compliance with all security standards and policies, safeguarding company data and reputation.
  • Provides leadership, guidance, and support to a local team of IT professionals.
  • Responsible for purchasing IT equipment, software, and services.
  • Responsible for annual IT budgets and regular cost reconciliation.
  • Maintains a strong commitment to written documentation.
  • Assists with any other general support requests.
  • Supports the company in its obligation to follow all standards, policies, procedures, regulations, and confidentiality guidelines.


Here is the type of person we are looking for:

  • Seven or more years of IT leadership experience managing a team and 5 years of experience overseeing a large Microsoft tenant with 1,000 or more users.
  • Expert with Microsoft 365 administration
  • Expert in large Microsoft Windows environments.
  • Proficient in advanced networking and server administration.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide, motivate, and support team members, ensuring high performance and professional development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Able to forge relationships through audio and video conferencing as required.
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach to resolving issues prior to significant conflict.
  • Excellent and effective use of language (in English) to guide, influence, and document all systems and processes. Ability to communicate clearly with diverse users.
  • Tenacious approach to problem solving and resolution: won’t give up until a solution is found.
  • Travel to other Lower Mainland businesses via automobile may be required infrequently.
  • Proficient in verbal and written English required. Other language proficiency welcome and helpful.
