Are you an Infrastructure Project Manager looking for your next contract role? Our client is preparing for a critical Data Centre move between January and March 2026 (completion deadline: March 31st). They are seeking a part-time Project Manager (25–40 hours/week) to oversee this high-priority migration project.


This role will focus on managing both servers and applications during the transition to AWS (production) and HyperV (local, non-production) environments. You will coordinate closely with stakeholders, IT Services, and external vendors to ensure smooth execution, minimal downtime, and successful delivery. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating resources, managing risks, and ensuring a seamless migration.


Here is what you'll be doing on a day to day basis:


  • Coordinate the consolidation of applications and services prior to migration.
  • Oversee the migration of up to 70 servers from to AWS (production) and HyperV (non-production).
  • Manage the migration of applications hosted on those servers/services to AWS and HyperV.
  • Coordinate the migration of the VPN tunnel.
  • Oversee the migration of NSX firewall configurations to compatible AWS firewall configurations.
  • Plan and communicate outages and downtime with stakeholders to minimize disruption.
  • Ensure project milestones are met within the strict timeline (completion by March 31st).
  • Provide regular updates to sponsors, steering committees, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain project documentation including status reports, risk management plans, and closure reports.


Here is the type of person we are looking for:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Management, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of progressive project management experience in IT infrastructure, application migration, or data centre projects.
  • Strong expertise in project management methodologies and artifacts (plans, briefs, communication plans, schedules).
  • Proven experience managing server and application migrations to AWS and HyperV.
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments and AWS hosting.
  • Project Management certification (PMP, Scrum Master, or Prince2) required.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate outages and negotiate stakeholder priorities.
  • Experience in ITIL-based service environments is an asset.
  • Strong planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
