Are you a Data Modeler looking for your next 6‑month contract role?

Our client is seeking a Data Modeler for a 6-month contract position with high likelihood of extension. This role requires Reliability Security Clearance and offers the opportunity to bridge business requirements with technical implementation by developing and maintaining conceptual and logical data models across multiple domains. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring models are accurate, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards, while working closely with business SMEs, IT stakeholders, and technical teams.

Here is what you'll be doing on a day‑to‑day basis:

• Develop and maintain conceptual and logical data models across multiple domains.
• Collaborate with business SMEs to gather and document data requirements.
• Support model validation, metadata alignment, and cataloging efforts.
• Assist in testing and refinement of data models.
• Provide expertise in data analysis and data migration activities.
• Participate in discovery, design, configuration, documentation, testing, and project review sessions related to data conversion.
• Support end‑to‑end data conversion activities.
• Analyze and understand business and data requirements to develop complete business solutions (including ERDs, data lifecycle management, governance, lineage, metadata, and reporting elements).
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to resolve data or application issues and ensure requirements are delivered.

Here is the type of person we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of experience performing similar responsibilities in data modeling and information management.
• 3+ years of experience in data modeling and business analysis.
• Strong understanding of data modeling principles and metadata management.
• Hands‑on experience with MS Synapse and MS Fabric.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience designing and implementing complex business data information management frameworks.
• Familiarity with enterprise data governance, lineage, and lifecycle management.
• Reliability Security Clearance required.
