Our Client is building the next generation of risk management technology for the payments ecosystem. Their mission is to help payment providers and financial institutions manage risk with greater confidence, speed, and intelligence—unlocking growth while protecting the entire payment lifecycle.

This role is a rare opportunity to lead go-to-market strategy at an early but critical stage, shaping how a modern, AI-driven risk platform is sold, positioned, and scaled across the payments industry.


The Opportunity

Our Client is developing a new risk management platform designed to address the most complex operational and compliance challenges in payments. Leveraging automation, advanced data, real-time analytics, machine learning, and agentic AI, the platform enables intelligent onboarding, fraud prevention, and AML decisioning across individuals, transactions, and entities.

The Head of Sales will own commercial strategy from initial market entry through scale—working closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to ensure customer insight directly informs platform evolution.


What You’ll Do

  • Own and execute the go-to-market sales strategy for a new risk management product suite.
  • Drive new business through direct sales, outbound efforts, and strategic partnerships.
  • Build and manage a full-cycle sales pipeline, ensuring disciplined forecasting and deal execution.
  • Partner with Marketing to align positioning, messaging, and demand generation.
  • Design and implement scalable sales processes, playbooks, and performance metrics to support growth.
  • Serve as the commercial voice of the customer, translating market feedback into actionable input for Product and Engineering.
  • Represent Our Client at industry events, conferences, and strategic partner engagements.
  • Recruit, coach, and lead a high-performing sales team as the organization scales.
  • Collaborate with the broader sales organization to demonstrate how the risk platform enhances existing payment workflows.


What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years of B2B sales experience selling technical platforms or AI/ML-driven solutions.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex, algorithmic value propositions to non-technical buyers.
  • At least 3 years of experience building and leading sales teams.
  • Experience managing remote, globally distributed sales teams across time zones.
  • Demonstrated ownership of P&L, forecasting, and sales budgets.
  • Background scaling sales operations in startup or high-growth environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (high school diploma or equivalent required).
