Business Development Executive – Payments & Financial Operations (SaaS)
Summary
Our Client is seeking a high-impact Business Development Executive to drive growth for a modern payment automation and reconciliation platform serving the insurance and property management industries.
In this role, you’ll lead new revenue initiatives by engaging carriers, MGAs, TPAs, agencies, property management firms, software platforms, and ecosystem partners, introducing fully automated payment and financial workflows that eliminate manual processes, strengthen compliance, and dramatically improve revenue visibility.
You’ll play a key role in positioning Our Client as the automation layer for payments and financial operations — enabling customers to move beyond spreadsheet-driven reconciliation, unify fragmented financial data, and modernize legacy operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, develop, and close new business across insurance and property management markets, including carriers, MGAs, agencies, TPAs, PM firms, and proptech / InsurTech software partners.
- Build, manage, and scale a high-quality sales pipeline focused on recurring-revenue SaaS, workflow automation modules, and strategic platform integrations.
- Lead consultative discovery conversations to understand how organizations manage payments, reconciliation, compliance, and financial reporting, and clearly map operational gaps to Our Client’s solution.
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations and ROI-driven value narratives aligned to customer workflows, regulatory requirements, and industry-specific business models.
- Partner closely with product, implementation, and marketing teams to refine positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy as the platform evolves.
- Develop and nurture strategic ecosystem relationships — including payment processors, ERPs, property management platforms, and InsurTech partners — that support co-sell motions and integrated growth opportunities.
- Represent Our Client at key industry events and conferences (e.g., InsurTech Connect, DIGIN, NAMBA, NARPM, and property-management technology summits) to strengthen brand awareness and generate qualified demand.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, deal management, and reporting within the CRM, ensuring clear visibility into revenue performance and market intelligence.
- Stay current on emerging trends including financial automation, embedded payments, AI-assisted reconciliation, and evolving regulatory requirements across both industries.
Qualifications

3+ years of experience selling SaaS solutions, ideally in fintech, payments, workflow automation, or vertical software (insurance, property management, proptech, ERP, billing, or accounting-adjacent platforms strongly preferred).
- Proven success in outbound-driven sales motions, prospecting, and navigating enterprise or multi-stakeholder buying cycles.
- Solid understanding of financial operations workflows, including billing, reconciliation, disbursements, compliance, and financial reporting.
- Ability to clearly articulate complex technical and operational value through storytelling, ROI framing, and consultative solution selling.
- Hands-on experience with modern sales tools, including CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and outbound automation tools.
