The Opportunity

Our client is an innovative and rapidly growing payments technology company seeking a high-impact Senior Director of Sales to lead enterprise revenue growth, expand strategic partnerships, and build a world-class sales organization.


This is an opportunity for a proven payments executive who thrives in high-growth environments and enjoys building winning teams, developing commercial strategy, and closing complex enterprise opportunities. Reporting directly to executive leadership, this individual will play a critical role in shaping the company's go-to-market strategy while driving measurable revenue growth across merchant acquiring, embedded payments, and financial technology solutions.


What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute the company's enterprise sales strategy to accelerate revenue growth and expand market share.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of enterprise sales professionals focused on new business acquisition.
  • Personally engage with strategic prospects and key partners, leading complex sales opportunities from introduction through close.
  • Build executive-level relationships with payment partners, ISVs, financial institutions, and large enterprise merchants.
  • Establish sales KPIs, forecasting disciplines, and pipeline management processes that drive predictable growth.
  • Partner closely with Product, Marketing, Engineering, Risk, Underwriting, and Finance to ensure alignment across commercial initiatives.
  • Leverage customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and market trends to influence product direction and commercial strategy.
  • Continuously optimize sales processes, tools, and enablement programs to improve productivity and conversion rates.


What We're Looking For

  • Executive sales leadership experience within merchant acquiring, payment processing, embedded finance, fintech, or adjacent financial services.
  • Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing enterprise sales organizations in a high-growth environment.
  • Consistent track record exceeding multimillion-dollar revenue targets and developing scalable go-to-market strategies.
  • Strong background selling complex payments, software, or financial technology solutions into enterprise organizations.
  • Experience recruiting, coaching, and developing top-performing sales talent.
  • Executive presence with exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
