ROLE OF THE ACCOUNT MANAGER

The Account Manager serves as the integral link between PIMCO and our Retail clients including distributors and asset managers. The Account Manager’s primary responsibilities are to foster and strengthen existing client relationships and develop new business. Account Manager translates client objectives and constraints into portfolio guidelines, monitors account activity for consistency with guidelines, educates clients about a broad set of products and services and provides information about the firm’s current outlook and strategy. In addition to client responsibilities, as an investment professional, the Account Manager actively contributes to the Firm’s investment strategy process and develops new business as a Marketer.


Position Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Fixed Income fundamentals, financial market and Macroeconomics
  • A minimum of 15 years work experience in financial markets, including experience in sell-side sales/marketing/structuring, relationship management, marketing at an asset management firm or investment bank
  • A minimum of 5 years direct work experience of business development and/or sales/marketing in retail business
  • Outstanding relationship building and communication/presentation skills
  • Ability to articulate clear ideas/strategies both verbally and in writing
  • Well organized, high energy self starter, to work in a team environment, especially with senior level management
  • Existing strong relationship with large distributors (brokers or banks) is plus
  • CFA or MBA is a plus
  • Good command of English language both in speaking, reading and writing, preferred
