Team Overview – Client Operations


KKR’s Client Operations team manages the entire client lifecycle, including onboarding, communications, servicing, and offboarding. With over 60 professionals globally, the team partners closely with Global Wealth Solutions (GWS), Global Client Solutions (GCS), legal, compliance, technology, and other internal stakeholders.

This team is passionate about client experience, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. Collaboration, empathy, and responsiveness are foundational to their approach.


Position Summary


KKR is hiring a Principal to join the Global Wealth Solutions (GWS) team in Tokyo. This person will support the Global Head of Wealth Investor Relations and collaborate with APAC sales and strategic account teams to deliver a world-class experience to KKR’s wealth platform clients.

This role will focus on onboarding and servicing processes, support marketing and reporting efforts, and serve as a key client contact across asset classes including private equity, infrastructure, real estate, and credit.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Global Head of Wealth IR to ensure seamless client experience across APAC.
  • Manage onboarding processes for new clients; handle queries from prospective and existing investors.
  • Drive improvements in client servicing models across closed- and open-ended funds.
  • Develop and refine external reporting for democratized products (e.g., K-Series).
  • Automate and enhance internal business reporting for GWS APAC.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on CRM, meeting preparation, and follow-ups.


Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience: 7–10 years in investment management or financial services.
  • Languages: Fluent in Japanese and English.
  • Skills & Traits:
  • Strong client relationship and onboarding experience.
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal).
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and project management ability.
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and highly motivated.
  • High EQ with sound judgment and maturity.
  • Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
