Job Title: Quantitative Trader

Overview:

Our client is a leading financial services firm specializing in quantitative trading and market-making across various asset classes. They are currently expanding our team and seeking talented Quantitative Traders to join their organization.

In this role, you will design, develop, and manage profitable systematic trading strategies, with a focus on ETFs. You will be responsible for conducting independent research, refining trading models, and collaborating with technology and trading teams for production implementation. Strong programming skills in C++ and Python are essential.

You will have the opportunity to deploy strategies efficiently using our established technology and research platform, minimizing infrastructure development time.

This firm is a well-established player in electronic trading, leveraging cutting-edge AI, quantitative research, and proprietary technology to enhance liquidity and efficiency in global financial markets.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize systematic trading strategies.
  • Conduct quantitative research and back testing.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to implement strategies in production.
  • Monitor and refine live trading performance.
  • Work in a fast-paced, competitive environment with a high degree of autonomy.


Qualifications:

  • Education: B.S., M.S., or PhD in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Statistics).
  • Experience: 5+ years in proprietary trading, quantitative trading, or electronic market-making (e.g., hedge funds, investment banks, or trading firms).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong programming in C++/Java and Python.
  • Experience with Linux and version control systems is a plus.
  • Trading Knowledge: Proven experience in alpha generation and portfolio management.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, and thrive in a collaborative yet competitive setting.


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary range: $125,000 - $225,000 (exact compensation may vary based on experience).
