What Our Client Needs
We are looking for a Global Standards Director (Healthcare Focus) to drive the adoption and implementation of industry standards within the healthcare sector. In this role, you will collaborate with internal teams, industry-leading organizations, and external stakeholders to address complex challenges, define requirements, and develop standards-based solutions that improve efficiency, visibility, and compliance across healthcare supply chains.
Who You Are
You are intellectually curious and comfortable operating in ambiguous, complex environments. You bring a deep understanding of standards-based systems, including identification, AIDC technologies, and the management of master, transactional, and physical event data. You’re able to translate technical concepts into practical solutions and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
You bring strong healthcare and pharmaceutical industry knowledge, paired with a collaborative, customer-focused mindset. You work well independently and within matrixed teams, build trust easily, and influence outcomes through thoughtful problem-solving and clear communication.
What You’ll Do
- Provide expert consultation to internal and external stakeholders on the application and use of standards within healthcare
- Translate technical standards into practical, industry-ready solutions
- Develop and support implementation of standards-based workflows, processes, and systems tailored to healthcare needs
- Support transitions to new regulatory requirements, including National Drug Code updates and advanced data carrier adoption
- Partner with technical domain experts to create content, tools, and guidance that add value to members and organizational initiatives
- Engage with members, industry partners, and user communities to gather requirements and feedback
- Facilitate internal and external standards workgroups to drive collaboration and adoption
- Educate user communities through classroom and web-based training and implementation guidance
- Develop and maintain standards documentation, including requirements and implementation guidelines
- Serve as a subject matter expert in working groups with members and partners
This role operates in a hybrid work environment.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
- 5–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply chain environments
- Deep knowledge of standards-based systems related to identification, data quality, and data exchange
- Strong understanding of DSCSA regulations and related identification and data capture requirements
- Experience with business process mapping, process optimization, and technology solution implementation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation abilities
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience facilitating collaboration among diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Background as a sales engineer or solution designer preferred

Salary Range: $115,000 – $140,000
