What Our Client Needs:

Our client is seeking a Senior Manager, Bioresearch & Innovation to lead experimental design and execution of scientific research programs. This role will oversee a small bioresearch team focused on discovering, developing, and advancing innovative cellular platforms and technologies across therapeutic, biomarker/diagnostic, and biomanufacturing pipelines. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in cell biology, cell and gene therapies, regenerative medicine, and immunology, along with demonstrated leadership driving high-impact scientific programs.

You combine deep scientific expertise with strong leadership, inspiring and mentoring teams while ensuring rigor, innovation, and alignment with organizational strategy.


What You’ll Do:

  • Lead cutting-edge biological programs aligned with company goals.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging cellular technologies and platforms for internal development or external partnership.
  • Manage R&D initiatives in cell therapy, cellular engineering, and ECP mechanisms of action (MOA).
  • Ensure scientific rigor and innovation across all programs and collaborations.
  • Lead project prioritization and resource allocation to maximize impact and efficiency.
  • Oversee a small team of scientists, lab technicians, and engineers.
  • Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing research team.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and scientific excellence.
  • Partner with Clinical, Regulatory, Engineering, Business Development, and Commercial leaders to advance programs and shape strategy.
  • Represent the organization as a scientific spokesperson internally and externally at conferences and symposia.
  • Establish and manage strategic academic and industry collaborations to expand scientific capabilities.


This position is onsite and requires minimal travel and has supervisory responsibilities.


What You’ll Need:

  • PhD in Cell Biology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, or Bioengineering.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in biotech, pharma, academic research, or photobiology.
  • Demonstrated success in advancing innovative cellular platforms or therapies a plus.
  • Publication and/or patent record in relevant biotechnology areas.
  • Experience with translational aspects of cellular technologies a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills; comfortable presenting to executive teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and scientific audiences.
