What Our Client Needs
Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support Clinical Development and R&D through rigorous analysis, project tracking, and financial modeling. This role partners closely with leadership to drive insights, improve performance, and support strategic decision-making across a growing global business.

What You’ll Do
- Track and report financial performance of R&D Innovation and Clinical Development projects against budgets and timelines
- Design, develop, and own project reporting models within NetSuite and related systems
- Partner with project managers and department leaders to monitor progress and identify financial risks
- Deliver detailed variance analysis and recommend corrective actions where needed
- Identify cost drivers, trends, and decision points to support tactical business decisions
- Provide functional P&L reporting against budget, forecast, and prior year, partnering with leaders to explain variances and drive improvement
- Lead cost analyses for Travel and Entertainment, Fleet, Freight, and Logistics, identifying savings opportunities
- Support ongoing forecasting for key cost categories to ensure alignment with financial goals
- Build and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditures, and business strategy
- Model Clinical and R&D projects to assess NPV and IRR using market and industry data
- Support monthly and quarterly forecast cycles with clear and accurate financial summaries
- Conduct what-if analyses to evaluate new initiatives and operational changes
- Prepare financial summaries and insights for leadership reviews
- Travel up to 25% domestic and international. No direct supervisory responsibilities indicated.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred
- 8+ years of experience in financial analysis with strong focus on modeling, project tracking, and forecasting
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, macros, and financial functions
- Experience with financial systems such as NetSuite, Hyperion, or similar platforms
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or data warehouse environments
- Strong variance analysis and financial reporting experience within complex organizations
- Proven ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights
- Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
